College football beats college basketball hands down

The NCAA basketball tournament (while exciting) does not crown a national champion for the entire season.
It only crowns a champion of the tournament.

NCAA college football crowns a champion for the entire season (although it can be argued that one or two teams get shafted), at
least it values the play over the entire season, which in my view is a much better way of doing business.

Cinderella stories are heartwarming but you can end up with four Cinderellas which waters down the Championship. Perhaps it would be better to go back to 24 teams and it means something to make the field.

I like to look at it as only being the lesser of two evils since both systems are flawed.
