FS: T206 Wooden Card Boxes

My retired father-in-law is an expert in the workshop.

He is currently designing and selling card boxes. His first available item is this 'T206 style' small/tobacco card box.

Graded card boxes are in the future.

Intro price is $175 + $25 S/H.

Please email me @ jp1216@gmail.com with any and all questions. Also, if you plan to order - you can pay online with PayPal, but please email ME with the specific options you desire. Type of wood, color of dividers, with or without decal on top etc.

Feedback has been VERY positive so far from those that made purchases already.

Please check out the baseball card section and all links at:

that looks like very nice craftsmanship.

you might be better served to post this over in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum and edit this one. Some members get grumpy when sell threads are posted here. Good luck!

    Superb workmanship.

I would guess there's people who would like a box like that for their graded cards in an appreciable amount?

    Very nice.

I've refrained from posting on the Net54 thread you have going, but since you found your way over here, I feel compelled to let people know that there are other options available. Such as pictured below. Half the weight of a wooden box, less money, and won't burn up in a house fire. These cases will accomodate any RAW card contained in either a CS1/CS2 or top loader, along with PSA, SGC or BGS graded cards.

If your father in-law makes graded card cases that are configurable like these (hold different sized holders and oversized slabs):
    http://www.cardcasepro.com/graded-sports-card-case.php

That look nice like the ones posted I'd be in for a few of them.

my safe deposit box works better than ALL of those.....and is FREE.

by the way, looks like some good craftsmanship on them. He might do ok to make them for the coin geeks too.

I have 2 of Matt's cases and they are great...but I have to admit....his post on this thread was kind of a "Dickish" move.

Those are very nice. It looks like the tobacco cards are just in top loaders, so any card could be stored in there. Its much nicer than the Roop box I am currently using.

No problem with Matt's post. New guy has been here almost 2 years and has posted 11 times, most likely trying to sell something each time. Not a real productive poster, and now he is hawking something on the main boards not the BST boards.

Matt has obviously seen new guy's post across the street and let him have his turf. Now he is on Matt's "lawn" and Matt should be able to give him a little shove back to his side of the street. All for capitalism and the new guy has every right to post here too, but should do it in the proper place.

    Now play nice boys!

Do you sell or know who sells a box similar to that which holds oversized slabs as well? I have a bunch of slabbed exhibit cards that I'd like to store along side my regular sized psa slabs.

Actually, those T206s are in mini top-loaders, sized specifically for tobacco/caramel cards. Goudey, Topps, Bowman, Fleer, etc cards, won't fit in them.

My post in no way was meant as a slight to the boxes that JP's father-in-law produces. Everyone is entitled to purchase what they wish, and what someone might think is great, someone else might think sucks! Was my post "dickish" as my collecting friend Ryan stated. Probably so! But it was also meant with good intent. There are alot of new board members that have joined the CU boards recently, and I felt it was only right for them and everyone else to be made aware that there are additional options for card storage in the marketplace today. I would like to think that I know a little something about the topic, and wanted to add some additional color. Additionally, there are other storage options aside from my and JP's cases, and each of those options have pro's and con's. You as the consumer need to decide what works best for you, but know the facts before putting high dollar collectible's in a storage solution. I have stated many times on these boards that I personally feel that the cases I intially made to store my collection, are the best on the market. I feel so strongly about this, that I have produced these for anyone on these boards that asks at my cost. I don't make any money on these guys when I post these cases for sale on the boards. The majority of the time, I am fronting all costs, and recouping those costs after the cases are sold. I have given cases away to many board members, and auctioned these off in the past with 100% of the proceeds going to the Jimmy V Fund. I state all of this, to show that the are not motives to my post. If I wanted to hijack JP's thread, I would have done so at Net 54. I hope that clears the air!

JP, I apologize for hijacking your thread on the CU boards. I wish you and your father-in-law luck in your venture.

I have purchased a case from Matt before and will do so again in the future. His cases are top notch, light weight, portable etc. These boxes are about half the size and more of a display item. If/when my father-in-law makes graded boxes available, they won't be nearly as portable as Matt's. They are geared more for the showroom, man cave display. Something to show off.

I know I haven't really posted on this board much - just doing a favor for my father-in-law. I won't be doing daily bumps or spamming members etc. Just wanted to pass along a neat storage idea - something that I use and would recommend to any collector. Any feedback/ideas are always appreciated.
