$44 for $600 worth of cards (2,500 total). Can't be real, right?

  • Sure it can. Don't expect to get anything great though.

If you believe commons have a retail value of 25cents like Beckett does. Then yes, 2500 commons has a value of $600.

    I can probably top that...

I can give someone 1000$ worth of cards for 22 bucks - and they pay the shipping - all that really cool early 90s stuff!

Doesn't take very long to come up with $600 of "book value" Those 5, 10 and 25 cent cards can add up quick image

Assuimng it isn't a stock photo, and assuming everything is in reprsentative shape, all you have to do is be able to sell 50 or so cards out of 2500 at a $.99 open price to break even. Seems like a VERY low risk prop. Hell, you can sell 50 ten card lots and still have 2,00o cards left to clutter your office.

Now, the question is why someone would sell so cheaply when that equation is so simple.

I almost decided to do this deal. But I only want latte 1980's (1987-1989), so I'll pass.
