Remember the old Superman show from the '50's? One episode had a scientist (Sterling Holloway?) invent a method to turn another metal into gold. Of course the bad guys heard about it and kidnapped him, and Superman rescued hi,

At the end it turns out that he has to start with platinum and turn that into gold. When somebody points out that platinum is more expensive than gold he says he knows, it was just pure science!

Bear, that's easy, you just sell your silver and buy aluminum; works for any commodity.

How to transform silver into glass and gold:

Sell some silver for cash money, use cash money to buy a bottle of a good wine or liquor, consume the contents with your favorite people, and have the glass bottle and the golden memories afterwards.

I remember a Rocky & Bullwinkle episode where the little space people were from "muni mula", or aluminum spelled backwards.image

Obviously, I need to use my time more productively.
