Going to a show, would like your opinion on what to pay for 70's commons

Thanks for reading, i appreciate all input.

i am going to a show tomorrow with the mindset that i would like to acquire some perfectly centered singles from these years of Topps: '73, '74, '76, '77, '78, and '79

i am a self admitted PITA when it comes to my accepting centered cards. This fact makes buying raw cards online REALLY difficult. thats why i think being able to see them at a show will be my best bet.

My question is, what should i expect to be paying for commons? semi-stars? "names"? i know that a lot of show dealers like the "Beckett" and was wondering if i should arm myself with knowing what "Beckett" says cards are "worth"?

I would think the problem would be finding such examples, and if you do pay what the guy is asking
if you are comfortable with it. I also would think that 75's would be pricier too.

Back when I had my store, with no competition, I would routinely give a price break if the person bought
a bunch. So at a show I'm sure sellers there would do the same.

My strategy in your scenario would be to look first, if I saw that the guy had nice centered examples, I'd
then ask how much per common? (I would also hope the guy had them priced beforehand) That way my only question
    would be regarding the discount.

As for how much? Each seller would be different. So I can't answer that.

    Good luck and have fun!

edited: because I said 75's would be more costly 2x.

    Good for you.

    I'd say somewhere between $1 and $40

I was at a show last weekend (Chantilly) and was picking up '78 commons. They were anywhere from .10 to .25, depending on vendor.

My goal buying raw stars and semi-stars at shows is to try and get them for around the price of a psa 6. If you already are looking for centering you should be OK using that as a guide vs. what they quote you beckett. If I want commons I hit the bargain bins and don't pay over $1. You are going to have to do alot of digging, but can find some nice deals in those bins.
