I think you should be happy, and take it, if someone offered $250 for it. I could be wrong, but it's my opinion.
ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!
<< <i>With that centering I'd say closer to $122 than $515.

no way I will list it as a BIN. I get WAY more for my stuff at auction. I just sold a '67 set this past weekend for $1200 more at auction than I would have taken for it at BIN.

Good luck with the sale.

Consider yourself lucky then....that is NOT the norm!
btw nice card
I think you will find many takers for this card and I say leave it NM-MT+ and ask $425. I have witnessed so many people on these boards buying his cards and I am sure master set collectors want this one.
The Registry is what keeps this great hobby going.
<< <i>Sorry but advertising a raw card that has not graded mint and you know it is simply wrong. >>
sorry, but you are simply wrong.
a grade is nothing more than an opinion rendered by a professional 3rd party and you know as well as i do that you could send in the same high quality vintage card 10 times and get 10 different opinions on it including qualifiers and half grades.
what you fail to understand is that the beauty of an object is in the eye of the beholder, not the PSA holder and we are all entitled to our opinion.
what the OP is entitled to is the right to find a buyer with the most non-subjective and highest ranking opinion. however he accomplishes this is up to him.
what's the difference between promoting a raw item as MINT or cracking/resubbing/reviewing? it all falls into the same pattern as we try to find the highest plateau at which a card can exist. and what happens if he sells raw as MINT and then the next person in line earns a PSA 9?
i'm not advocating shifty behavior, but that sir IS the game.
That card does not have four 9 corners on it. An 8.5 is a great grade. Anyone who thinks that will reholder in a 9 is asking for
it to possibly come back an 8. It's a great card. Enjoy the grade.
<< <i>As I said when you first posted that card on the group rip thread, I think you have a great shot at the bump to a 9. I think the star cards are graded a bit more conservatively than common cards, and that card is a beauty! >>
And you also scoffed at those who said it had no chance at a 9. It is properly graded. PSA got it right.
I'm also wondering how many 75 OPC cards you've submitted to PSA because if you knew anything about this issue you'd know that card is closer to a 9 than an 8 any day of the week so I'm going to guess you've submitted none.

<< <i>Do you still think these packs were searched? Talk about an ignorant statement...

You like falsely accusing people sir ? Go back and read the thread, and show me where I said the packs were "searched".
I said that BBCE sold a psa 9 Brett and psa 8 Yount before selling those packs. I never said anything about the packs being searched.
I know how easily it is for someone to buy a case of wax, open about ten packs or so, get the big hits, and then fill the remaining boxes
with all the other unopened packs. Again, I never said BBCE did this, all I said was that they sold the big hits on ebay just before
this group rip to point this out to the uninformed. I felt the buyers should make an informed decision with all the facts. BBCE sold
quite a few nice 75 opc's before this rip. Cards looked like "they may have" come from these wax boxes.
Never said the packs were searched, and yes, I've held and submitted, and opened many early 70's opc wax boxes over the years, including 1975's. Sold many to board members here.

Then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and buy this card off the guy and resubmit it for the higher grade, being that
you are so sure about this. Please inform the board if and when you decide to do this, and post the results when it happens.
Heck, if it's value is 400 at psa 8.5, and a 9 is an easy 500, then it's no risk at all. So please either put up or shut up.
And I don't wager with people I don't trust, but thanks anyway..

You've sold unopened OPC wax boxes/packs to many members here? I've been on this board for 5 years and have never seen you offer a single unopened OPC wax packs for sale.
