Oh the PAIN... Teletrade

I find myself having to wade through PAGES of low grade mint state common date lincolns etc. to find a few decent coins. Has anyone else noticed TT has become the dumping ground for Everyman Set submissions that don't grade AU-58?
gross
Edit only to add .... Please don't misconstrue my post, Teletrade has been the source of some excellent purchases for me, and I've even tried them for selling a coin or two. They provide tremendous customer service. I can actually remember using what I believe was teletrade in the very late 80's by telephone as a teenage collector - and have a soft spot for them. Someone needs to tell them that this new development is not helping.

I'd like my copper well done please!

But every now and then there's some nice material on there, finding it is the hard part! Lol
I wish there were some way to do a search that excluded "Genuine" and net grade stuff so I didn't have to look at it.

Here's something you can try, Dennis. Instead of browsing the catalogs, use the search feature. Make sure the grade parameters are 2 through 70. That should leave out all PCGS Genuine and NGC details graded coins. I just tested it on Colonials and then All Denominations, and it seemed to work. Make sure the low grade selected is 2, not 1.

I believe if you subscribe to their 'Mr. Wantlist', you can be sent an email with the specific series, years, grade range, etc...that you seek. Saves alot of time searching nightly for what you are specifically looking for (not so much now, though, that I peruse for the ocassionally found Doily).
As far as 'dumping ground', I really wouldn't go THAT far....you CAN still find, more than just ocassionally, a coin that fits your criteria. It's the TOTAL price (not the selling price) that can sometimes 'rough you up', especially if it's a coin that you win for $6, that winds up costing you over $20, due to the buyer's fee minimum and shipping (as was brought up in recent post).
the old adage -buy the coin not the holder rings true where ever you look to buy ........
you fellers might as well quit looking on T.T .....that will leave the gems for me ! hee-hee
The name is LEE!
