Submission Results and they are Sweet!

Dropped this submission off at the Chicago Sun Times Show a couple weeks ago. Really pleased with the results as 24 of the 52 cards received 9's/10's and another 21 received an 8. Always happy when a 10 grade occurs as I can't tell a 9 from a 10 and certainly never plan on getting any. The one 10 is an O-Pee-Chee Deckle (Curt Flood) from 1969 that I can't even remember when or where I got it. Lots of these will be added to my set regestry. The 1949 Bowman must have a crease as I thought it was an 8. The 1968 Topps Game cards were purchased in Chicago at the recent show and it goes to show that I can't assess the condition of these cards as I thought they also were 8's. However, the 1961's, 1964's, and 1965's graded pretty much as I thought they would as they were fresh, nice cards.

wow Rich, nice sub, you just keep knockin' 'em out.

i'm going to guess that the reduced grades on your '68 Topps game cards might be due to the cross-woven band which can often be found on the front surface of the card, it looks kind of like a fence. i have a bunch of them and never bothered to submit them for that reason, assuming the grades would be no better than 6's.

Yes, I noticed the pop 2 for the 1968 Mike Marshall PSA 10. I am thinking about letting that one go on Ebay. I always think it is prudent to sell low pop cards when they are still low pop. It just seems to me that over time as more and more cards are submitted that pop 10's will increase in number, therefore decrease in value. I guess you could argue that there are many high condition rarities that might not gain in pop numbers but 1968 is a year with so many cards being sent in to PSA and such a large number of 10's in existance that it just seems to me that more Mike Marshall 10's will show up in the coming years. It is the 1969 O-Pee-Chee Deckle Curt Flood in PSA 10 that has me perplexed. I have no idea what that card is worth. I doubt if that is a highly collected set, but could be wrong.

Imagine what that would be worth if it were autographed?
