Did a little coin roll hunting today ... Bought 80.00 face and found 3.00 in 90% and 6.00 in 40% halfs.. It's still out there good luck ...

    Ok searched 280.00 in halfs and found ........ 120 40% and 2-90% ... great day !!!! It's still out there..

    That's quite lucky! Most people report only finding a few 40% halves in boxes...

    Found some banks that are far from anyone that coin roll hunt ... I guess they are in the back woods !!! My best day ever !!

    That qualifies as a dream box. Nice find and congrats. Maybe you will get lucky and find a partner to that box on your next order.

    Yes there is, last week I went to the bank, asked if they had any half rolls.

    Teller sold me 5.

    2 were 90% (1 Franklin) (1 Walking liberty)
    2 others were 40% Kennedy
    1 was clad

    I noticed that the wrappers were very old, so I asked the teller if the person that brought these halves in brought
    anything else in and she said yes quarters and dollars,

    The quarters, (1 roll) were 90%, mostly Washies with a few well worn standing liberty, the dollars were what appeared to be an original roll from 1971 (D)

    As soon as she handed me the halves I knew I had struck pay dirt.

    Best 80.00 I ever spent.


    Well maybe not.................

    There still are silver quarters and dimes out there folks,

    Recently got a damaged box of $500 Brinks plastic wrapped quarters and pulled 11 of them out, oldest being 1941S.
