Could someone with access to the pcgs census

please look up the buchanan presidential dollar to see how many pcgs has graded for the missing edge errors? I'm only looking for the population report for the regular buchanan missing edges and not the satin finishes. Thanks in advance!

I don't see any listed in the Pop Report or in CoinFacts... do you have the PCGS #?

  • Thanks guys for checking that for me, I appreciate it. I was offered one in a trade that is actually an ngc and I know the numbers for ngc, but I just wanted to make sure pcgs hasn't graded alot of them. thanks again

    PCGS may not recognize them?

    Open a registry set buddy.

Pops then become free under the What If Function!

I just checked my set and don't see any listed. Partial Edge Lettering (PEL) and Weak Edge Lettering (WEL) but no Missing Edge Lettering (MEL)
    All 2010-P Position B coins.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

  • Thanks for the additional comments, very valid points on whether or not pcgs is even recogizing these anymore, I will have to do some more research on this. The popularity with the mssing edges was mainly confined to the wash, adams, and jeff. A few here and there subsequently showed up on future presidents, but the extreme rarity isn't really reflected in prices. For example, an adam's 65 missing edge goes for close to $400 and ngc has graded a little over 2000 of them, but on the other hand you might have a buchanan missing edge where ngc has only graded 7 of them and it might only go for $500. Many times as rare as a wash, adams, jeff plain edge, but only a nominal premium above what you would pay for an adam's missnig edge.
