Engelhard 7 ozer, Tee135 deal.

I just completed this deal with Tee135 for the below Engelhard 7oz bar. I figured with all the hype and bad deals regarding Tee135 here lately I would post my experience. Everything went fine with no problems. Just my experience with one transaction. Not protecting him, I am not associated with him in anyway, just my experience.
I have been after this Engelhard for about a year or so now, and I am very happy to finally have one for my collection!
Moving forward if we do do business together I would require him to ship me the items on approval first then send him the payment.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

It doesn't bother me so much that he is on the forum, but I think it mighty foolhardy for someone who has any hint of what has happened to actually go into a deal with this member. It's just nuts.

<< <i>Tee135---You showed me this very same bar a few weeks ago. When I asked to buy it, you promissed to give me first shot when you decided to sell. I asked you again about this same bar yesterday and you quoted me a price of $465 which I agreed to. Last night you backed out because you claimed that your son wanted it because he wanted to start a silver bar collection. Why did you lie to me? You have proven yourself to be untrustworthy and I will not be buying from you ever again. >>
Well, for every happy buyer like bstat1020 there always seems to be someone else left in the wake. Either that, or bstat1010 is Alain's son.
So if Tee135 "adopts" bstat1020 will that make everything good again?

Funny - I laughed out loud reading that.

Hear we go again. Sorry to hear it Perry, but thanks for posting this information. Even the "so called" good Tee135 stories end up with someone being treated wrong.
what does -1 mean? lol

Pretty darn funny anyway!!
And I am not up for adoption unless my new mother will be Sofia Vergara. Oh, mama!
TIPS FOR TEE:
Hey Tee, you gotta treat people the way you would want to be treated.
Good business means putting the customer, or potential customer, ahead of profit.
Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising.

<< <i>Perry Hall, you may just be the lucky one that got away. >>
It was after he quoted me a price of $485 and I accepted his offer that I requested that he send me the 7 oz bar first before I sent payment so that I could examine it. We had already done several deals so there was a fairly high level of trust at that point. Then, several hours later (last night) he decided to keep the bar because his son allegedly decided to start collecting silver bars. I found out later from bstat1020 that Tee135 had already sold him the bar two weeks ago. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I had sent payment first.

You would have been the main subject of a much longer thread over on the Coin Forum about 1-2 weeks from today.
But by IMF accounting rules, both lessor and lessee of gold bullion can maintain it as inventory on their books. Possibly Tee135 was just adopting IMF accounting rules?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

But only if you actually deliver it to one of those buyers....up to that point both potential buyers are quite happy. All it takes is a photograph and a good story.
Didn't know who this Sofia V. was so had to google. I had been perfectly content to think about Adriana Lima. Brazilian or Columbian, both seem to be worthy nationalities.

Your 'deal' for the 7 0z'er might have gone great with the buyer, but you failed to acknowledge or even respond to the forum member you blatantly lied to while selling the bar.
Two members have posted your lies and even a new member like me can see doing business with you too costly and too risky.

Total B.S. The bar that you promissed me first shot had the same serial number as the one that you later sold to bstat1020. This was the same bar that you just offered me for $465 after you had already sold it two weeks earlier to bstat1020. You made NO mention that it was a different bar. You backed out of our deal and told me that you decided to give it to your son after I asked you to send it to me for examination prior to payment. If you gave it to your son, how would it be available to sell on the BST? Let's see a pic of this new 7 oz gem bar on todays newspaper with the date visible. Until I see it, I won't believe you have another 7 oz bar. I'm through with you and your lies.

I wish I were in a position to be able to say that, except that I probably wouldn't say that either.

If it were me, and I was in this Teed up predicament, I'd already have that "alleged" 2nd bar in the mail on it's way to PerryHall (on approval). But that's just me.
