1974 Topps and 1976 Topps PSA Pack!?!?

The group rip has still has some 74 Topps and 76 Topps Baseball packs left.

I just looked on Ebay and the last graded PSA 8 pack for both years sold for:

74: $70
76: $88

What if your packs where graded PSA 9 or even a 10! I think 9's would go for around $100, and not sure on a PSA 10.

Does anyone have VCP on these 2 years graded packs in PSA 8, 9, and 10?

That of course is if you chose not to open them and get them graded. There are some real nice cards in both of these years.

I'm not usually one to give away VCP info, but it's in my best interests for this rip to sell out, so...

    74 PSA 8: $55, PSA 9: $105
    76 PSA 8: $51, PSA 9: No Data

IOW, there's money to be made slabbing these!!!

Since Steve already has these, and some people might want to slab them, can he look at them there?

It seems a bit silly, and always a chance for a mishap that Steve send the packs to a member, the member sends them to PSa, PSA sends them to Steve to authenticate, and Steve sends them back to PSA, who sends them to you.

Maybe you could talk to him about it since you have his ear right now. I'm more than a bit quesy about buying several of these for grading only to see them bounced around the country 3 times before they grade.

$88 for that PSA 8 76 pack was about $30 more than what it usually goes for in that grade..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • It's something to be considered, I wouldn't mind having a few PSA graded prior to them getting to me. Maybe have Steve do the work to send them to PSA right away.....something to consider is the randomness of the packs. I got a few 72's from a group rip with O.J Simpson and Unitas on front....it would suck to not have those notated on the slab. As for the 76 and 74 packs, I may start a slabbed pack collection.
