I see a lot of returns in his future when the bidders realize it's only for 1 coin...certainly pays to read a description since the photo is a bit misleading....still the buyers need to at least read what they are bidding on
<< <i>still the buyers need to at least read what they are bidding on >>
In a previous thread on a similar auction, it was explained to me by another poster here that he expected to be able to bid based on the picture and didn't think he needed to waste his time reading a bunch of stuff in an auction listing.
I bet somewhere out there someone is bragging how they snagged a roll of 90% Kennedys for 42.00 ... wish I could be a fly on the wall when the penny drops and reality sets in
If you can't swim you better stay in the boat.......

Actually, the picture in the auction should match the description otherwise what good is the picture?
The only confused bidder in this auction appears to be the "2 feedback" winner and possibly the under bidder (who may have set up $40 "hold" bid only to realize it was for a single coin) since I don't see any "experienced" bidder that would bid a mere $40 on a roll of Kennedy's which normally would go for about $250 a roll melt.
No doubt, the winning bidder got duped out of his own ignorance but then picturing a bunch of coins in an aution that is only for one of the coins pictured is definitely misleading.
As for the OP's question: "Wish I could get this price for all my BU 1964 Kennedy's", I wish I could to but if I used this auction format, you fine folks would send me to the spay and neuter clinic!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
<< <i>Newby got taken to the cleaners is what I see. >>
"Taken to the cleaners"?
The very first thing in the description, it says "YOU ARE BIDDING ON ONE BU 1964 KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR" in 176 pt. font. If the newby is at the cleaners, he got there on his own.
<< <i>Actually, the picture in the auction should match the description otherwise what good is the picture? >>
I don't know- maybe the seller thought that bidders would like to see where the half is coming from? Lots of people seem to place importance on original rolls- possibly the seller was trying to be helpful?
I think others have caught on because he is selling other 64's and getting what they are worth. That one poor sucker didnt understand the auction. You all know the saying about suckers Lol
I see no problem with your listing. I have learned actually to pay more attention the description tha the picture in an eBay listing. Unless it is that one seller that photographs the coins or currency on top of some woman's breasts. No, I am not making that up.
You make it very clear in title and description the auction is for ONE coin. The feedback person of 2 probably thinks he or she is getting a roll, but no fault on the seller as it says very clearly that it is one coin.

Just to be clear - it wasn't my auction. But if it was I might have given the guy a 10% discount
