donruss factory sets

I was told the cards in factory sets have better centering than wax packs. Ive already seen that 1984 donruss factory sets still have centering problems and i assume 1985 is the same. my question is what about 1986 and 1987 donruss factory?

It's a crap shoot.

The 1986 Donruss factory set that I opened had a perfect 1st brick, where every card was centered, but as I went through the box, centering shifted to the more unacceptable ranges. With 1987, the factory set I opened had perfect left-to-right centering, but the top-to-bottom centering varied wildly, but at a patern. Just looking at the side of the sealed bricks, you could see that the left/right border pattern moved around like an EKG readout.

The bad thing about the 1987 set was that some of the bricks were sealed so tightly that it seemed to put a slight wrinkle in the corner of every card in the brick. Even with all that, I still managed to find some gem cards that graded out to PSA 10s.
