PCGS Proof Set Submission -- Question

Quick question on submiiting a proof set.

I recently picked up my 1990 no S Cent Proof set. I'd like to submitt the entire set for certification (keep all of the brothers and sisters in plastic ). Does PCGS require the coins to be broken out, or can I send in the entire mint set intact and let PCGS crack the coins out?

As long as you're sending in only one set they will let you keep it in the original mint packaging.

Thats right. They do not mind one set to crack open, but to crack open several is a pain and hazzard, those sets can give you some mean cuts.
I sent in my whole proof set of the 71 NO S nickel. It came back the whole set 68 cam.

I am confused. Do you mean that PCGS slabs the WHOLE set or do they accept the whole set, but "break it out" and slab the special coin in the set? When I got my 1990 no S slabbed I broke the set and submitted the coin separately. Steve
