Modern Mexican errors

A fellow I know picked up a box of modern mexican errors most appear to be early to mid 1980s blanks with the lettered edges, off centers, clips and such there's maybe 45 pieces. Is there a member on here who would know the value of such things?

thanks for any direction
Ken

Personal experience only, but 80's errors (clips, off centers, etc.) appear to be rather common. At a show a couple of years ago, a dealer had a bagful of them in his case for 10 or 15 bucks or so each.

I remember in the early 90s a guy who worked rolling coin at the bank wanting to sell me a bag of US off centers and clips for 3x face and I'm still kicking myself for not buying them... image

I agree. The newer bimetallic errors are much rarer.

That bears out my somewhat limited experience as well.

Cheap, but still cool. I had a dramatically off-center multisided 10-peso piece, once. Paid something ridiculous like five bucks for it, as I recall, and doubled my money on it.

I just put some up on the BST as a lot for about 8.00 each from the sounds of the input here that sounds like a fair price. Thanks for the help
