Advice on ebay purchase should i return?

I havn't been a member on here long but i think you guys might give me the best answer. Just picked up a set of off e-bay and when it arrived it was just packaged in a 500 count box, and maybe due to shipping most of the corners are chipped or dinged. Maybe they were like that to start, i'm not sure. Thing is they are new cards and the description does not say what the condition these cards are in. Can i return them or am i out of luck because there was no grade in the description? Any help would be great, i have bought things of off e-bay for 8 years now and luckily never had this issue. That's a tough one. If they were shipped loose, I would return them. Otherwise, I would return them
