OT: How a hospital changed our lives -- SEE MY LATEST POST ON BOTTOM

To My Awesome Friends On The Boards:

In August of 2010, my 4 1/2 year old daughter needed open-heart surgery (to fix a hole in her heart). She came home later that week and if you met her today, you'd see a happy and healthy kindergartner.

The entire experience changed our lives forever and we vowed to do all we could to help the hospital.

In a few weeks, we're doing a walk to raise money for Maria Fareri Children's Hospital (in Westchester, NY).

I'm asking my Collectors Universe friends to step up and just do one simple thing: Skip your latte frappuccino just for one day and donate that money.

Here a link:

Thanks,
Gregg

P.S. Feel free to pass the link to anyone who you think would donate their coffee money.

    Good Morning Gregg,

I don't drink coffee, but I made a donation anyway. Hope it helps you reach your goal!!!

I've got two boys (6 and 11) and would hope a hospital like that is available if any medical issue ever arises.

And to leathtech, GO BOILERS!!! JaJuan rules. Imagine if we had Hummel.

I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of both the donations and "good thoughts".

    Keep 'em coming.

    More great news --
Just found out that my wife and daughter will be featured in an ad for the American Heart Association.

If you read the ad, you will see my daughter donated ALL her gifts from her 5th birthday party to "help the sick boys and girls in the hospital"

  • There's actually a local poker event I'll be participating in and I know it donates 100% of everything to a local hospital like this...

I hope you do well, and I hope your daughter is doing amazing.

    Sean:

In just one week, I have been able to raise more than $3000 and I expect the number to grow.

The hospital is AMAZING. The care is AMAZING. And yes, my daughter is AMAZING.

Gregg, Congrats on leading the fundraising and setting the bar!!!

And great deal with the American Heart Association Ad. Of course you would have been in it, but you probably had to work to play off all those cards you've been buying!!! image
