Of course, quarters like this are common as dirt and many dealers have them in stock by the truckload. So if you get bored with it, just send it to me. I will even pay you 2 times melt for it.
Last fall I picked up an "opened" 1957 proof set in OGP at a local B&M. The 1957 quarter in that set has an obverse just like the obverse of your 1963. The reverse of my 1957 quarter is cameo, but moderate to heavy, not even close to the reverse of your 1963. The 1957 looks just like the 1957 quarter pictured in Mr. Tomaska's book on 1950-1970 Cameo Proof and SMS Coinage.
Purchasing that 1957 set was a very happy day for me, just as purchasing the 1963 set with the pictured quarter was for you.
This observation, Is that you standing there naked taking the picture I see in the reflection of that coin?, sure makes me less eager to stare intently at the otherwise stunningly pretty coin!
Upon recommendation of members of the forum whom I've previously held in highest esteem as Lords of the Bourse () I have indeed performed a search for the "chicken"...and I'm still disturbed...very disturbed.

I'm familiar with the eBay tea kettle shot, but the dude with the chicken eludes (and disturbs) me.

Nice coin, Eric. Contrats on the sweet find.
What do you think it will grade? Did it come out of the pack like that, or did it require a dip to improve it?
Just curious...Mike
If you have an interest in "the chicken", just type "chicken" or "madmarty" in the search box and read/look to your heart's content.
Be warned howerver, that venturing into those areas are not for the faint of heart
What you read and see may just shock you,..................................SHOCK YOU, ........................ I tell ya.
