I HAD to buy this!

As a lot of you know, THE MICK was my idol growing up ... always was and always will be my favorite player of all time. When I saw the following on eBay I HAD to bid on it. The seller had a lot of negative feedback for not shipping goods, but I took a chance on it. The sig is a little different than a lot of his other ones, but I did find one slabbed by PSA/DNA almost identical to this one.

The book has been torn apart and only about half the book is left:

But the inside cover is what I got excited about. I have only seen one other in all my years with the same personalization:

HEY DORAN ... this will be coming your way soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doug, Thats very cool. I understand how special that is. I have been looking for something from Stan Musial signed "TO Matt" for a long time.

very cool; although I wouldn't cut it up (I'd replace the worn book jacket and keep the whole thing intact).

Cool item with any name but especially yours - congrats on a very nice find.

Just my opinion but I think the sig is good.

Hi Doug - this one is from the same book - it's a "signed" copy version from the printer - it's also PSA/DNA - and it looks just like yours.

It's amazing the book is chewed up and no one "acquired" the sig page from it.

    Will make a nice cut.

Thanks guys. To add to a few of your comments ... Yes, it is a paperback. Seems like the book got extremely wet at one time and it fell apart. What I have only goes to page 41. The page next to the signature even has a faint auto in reverse, as the signature page probably got damp at one point as well. Luckily, the sig is still in FANTASTIC shape. NOT being a book person, even if the book were in perfect condition, I think I would still be making the auto into a custom. Now to come up with a unique idea.

How about a custom card with yourself photoshopped into the pic with Mickey image ala the Jeter/Bush/Mantle card of 2007
