Picture shows a normal reverse. Sent him a message and notified fleaBay. Let's see if either one of them kills it.

Is it against ebay rules to ask an outrageous price for an ordinary coin and call it rare? I don't see any mention of the Cheerios variety.

I know it's against their rules to place guesses or estimates of value for raw coins so maybe the seller has crossed that line with his comment about offering it for half as much as others sell for.

I agree its deceptive. Is that how you reported it Cap'n?
    Lance.

Well, the seller HAS revised the description and the title (today, like 20 mins after the Cap'n brought it up),so perhaps it WAS listed as a Cheerios Sac, but changed it....but for those of us that didn't see it originally, we'll never know. Perhaps the seller visited the boards???
    I'll come up with something.

The feedbacks are great! He sells things he claims are worth $200, and when the winning bid is $9 he refuses to ship and yells at the winning bidder for being a "bad buyer."

The rarity is it's rare to see the word RARE used 6 times in such a short description! image

With the type of feedback he has, I'm really surprised that he hasn't been taken off ebay by now!

A very generous offer has been made for the coin.

The seller used the word "rare" 6 times. I wonder if it's rare to use rare so much?

    Edit: reported

It's a scarce usage to have so many rares...maybe it'll soon be nearly unique or less/more?

Darn! He rejected my excellent offer (most very much excellent offer?) !
I've made a second offer - even a lot very much lower.

[sorry - it's raining and dripping and the sarcasm has to get out.]

Hey, call it what you like, Cheerios or Goodacre, all he knows is that its rare and is deserving of a half super high price.

Well now, knowing that it's a Goodacre, I retract my report.

I think its priceless image I also think giving it a MS grade is against ebay policy and good enough for them to pull the auction.

Heh, read his negative feedback. Apparently he refused to ship 2 items because they didn't sell for the price he wanted. I guess he doesn't understand the concept of an auction.
I collect history in the form of coins.

I guess he would understand then if you hit the BIN and then backed out because you found out he was trying to rip you off.

Rejected by latest reduced offer -- I thought 99-cents was very fair.
