What do you think of this eBay Barber Half?

Was it a Barber Half? The reeding could have been removed. I don't see a seam, but it is a picture. A very unusual pop-up piece. I don't think I have seen one like it.

There were some of these on BST recently. He had all the denominations, but all that is left is one half dollar popout, interestingly, also dated 1908. (No, wait- he sold the 1908- that's a 1907 he just moved from BST to eBay.)

Likely not made from a real coin, like many are. Note the lack of reeding and the flat back. I have seen dimes that were cast.

The one I had on BST is now linky on eBay, and it is real for sure, reeded edge and all. I guarantee it! The reverse looks like this:

BTW, the other one the OP is referring to looks to be set into a Bezel of some kind. It could be real also, but I'm not sure. (No offense to ( "I;m Not Sure") LOL

I agree- that other one in the OP did sort of look like it could have been set in a plain-edge bezel to me, but I couldn't be sure.
