This Mike Tyson card is already over $100

I'm impressed that this card is going for so much LINK TO AUCTION
I believe the auction is actually mislabeled - it should be 1987. Anybody else watching this one?

I almost sent one of mine off to get graded with a stack of Wrestling All Stars but was afraid having mixed matched cards might slow my submission.
If this one is nice I will be getting this one and one of my other one's PSA graded.

I saw a BGS 8.5 sell for $100 recently and I think Tyson cards in high grade could be worth some bucks. Especially his rookie Panini sticker. I have five and none are really screaming to be graded. If a PSA 9 or higher of that surfaced it would go for really big money I think.
If he had not had so many personal problems his cards would be in much more demand but as time goes on and it becomes even more clear he was the greatest power puncher of my generation and perhaps ever, people will want is rare cards.

Here are my stickers. There is an English and Italian version.
Yes there is a foil card with Marvin Hagler I believe. I saw a real nice one on EBAY a few months ago for $50 and it was gone quickly. I snoozed and loosed. The same seller sold the version I just bought for $50 and was from Great Britain.

The "Michigan Man was a fat cokehead."
What a shame the talent he wasted. Many will dispute this but if Tyson could have stayed away from Don King and gotten a promoter who looked out for his interest he could have been the greatest heavyweight ever. He had the physical itimitation factor that Ali never had. Just raw brute power. Ali may have had the quickness but he never fought anyone like Tyson and that includes Foreman.
<< <i>Thanks. I like it better at $63 too

I sold that one Dpeck! Bought it graded for $20. Cool sticker
I have three others of this and got them for $25 a piece and I am hoping this is NM-MT at least.
The supply of these apear to be limited and they feature Iron Mike in his prime which makes for a nice collectable.
<< <i>Here he is on Ellen last week. Looks like he his on the right path after the tragic death of his daughter. Check out 1:40 into the clip and later. CLASSIC TYSON.

Czar, you just gave me the chills.
This version has 21 PSA 9 and 4 PSA 10. I wonder why none have shown up on EBAY recently if there is this many graded in strong condition. I would think recent increases in sales prices would attract some supply if it is there.
<< <i>I just checked the pop reports and there are no PSA 9's or PSA 10's of his rookie.

In the long term, I see the opposite. Our generation will remember Tyson as one of, if not the, greatest fighters we've ever seen. 10 second KOs, beating the poop out of his opponents, and fear in their eyes as they stepped into the ring. In hindsight, the Buster loss was the best thing to happen to him:
He went a tad off his rocker, got locked up, became even more crazy (I'll eat your children), and then became the man he is today.
Unlike heavyweight champs of the past, Tyson didn't take years of blows to the head. He dished out a large majority of the punishment and it wasn't until the last year or two that he actually took a few punches. Due to this, the long term effects (ie memory loss, impared speech, etc), in theory, shouldn't apply to Tyson.
It's almost like the best of both worlds: Being recognized as one of the greatest champs and not mentally crippled later in life.
