Aussie Afternoon! Time for you blokes Down Under to show off a little!

I just sold an Aussie large penny set I got from the Shroomdude.

Musically, I've gone back to the eighties for the afternoon and just jammed out to Midnight Oil's Diesel And Dust.
I'm currently spinning Men At Work's Business As Usual and when that finishes playing, INXS' Listen Like Thieves
is on deck next.

So I hereby declare this an Aussie Afternoon. (Never mind that it's probably the middle of the night on that side of
the globe, and our Aussie brethren are probably snoozing.)

I don't have much in the way of Aussie coins, but here is one.

Among other things, I'd like to see some of those 1927 (KM31) florins with the Parliament House on 'em, please.
I love that design, for some reason. Used to have a circulated example, but nothing special.
I'll bet some of y'all have some beauties, eh?

  • I have a complete set of florins (all except the 1934-35 Melbourne Centenary), but only have a couple of them photographed. Actually, very few of my Aussie coins are imaged. Here's what I've got at hand at the moment, not sure what happened to the obverses... (sorry, you've probably seen most of them before)

  • Most of my Oz circulating coins are too rough for photos maybe , average circulated silver , i did buy this wee beauty on friday , i've tried to complete the series l lunar 1/10ths and now am missing only two. Very low mintages and becoming quite popular.

I've got all the blue Whitman folders (and 1 or 2 others) for Australia, but, unfortunately, still lots of holes to fill across-the-board from 1/2-pennies all the way up thru Florins & Crowns (none of that DECIMAL stuff!! image )

A "Roo" large cent from the 40's was the very first foreign coin I ever received as a young boy (if you don't count Canadian in one's change), and I still have it in one of my folders/holes!! imageimage

Always looking for good trading sources!
