Please forgive my having two threads near the top simultaneously. This one's an afterthought, and really it's directing you to the other one, anyway.
But not on my behalf. Go to my current BST thread and scroll down to the bottom, in the "Bid Board" section.
I've got my first Bid Board auction running there, until March 17th. All of the proceeds of this "mini auction" will benefit Dave S., aka "DBSTrader2", who's not only been laid off but had some medical issues. Just a little downturn in his luck, is all. He did NOT put me up to this, obviously, and I hope my mentioning this is not an embarrassment to him. I point it out merely because only one person seems to have noticed the mini-auction at all, situated as it is towards the bottom of my longwinded sales thread.
I hope that this will help, even if only in the tiniest way.
There are only four lots: some cheap Roman coins and a small four-piece lot of US coins. Don't pat me on the back too hard, either, 'cause this was just some extra stuff I had lying around. It's no great sacrifice for me, since I had next to nothing in it.
As a matter of fact, those US coins cost me nothing at all since they were part of a large and generous gift box of stuff I got from "VicPortland" (in whose honor I'm also running a modest giveaway over on the Giveaway Forum).
When I was laid off three years ago, the forum rallied around me with moral, if not monetary, support, and so what comes around goes around. Bid on some of this stuff if you want to, or not, as you please, but do please give Dave a kind thought in these tough times.
It's just peanuts, but every little bit helps, hopefully.
PS- naturally if Dave wants those coins to keep for himself or sell them himself as he sees fit, then I reserve the right to end the bidding and just give them to him.
