Usually hang on the card forum. Was looking through some coins I have and found a standing liberty quarter with no date. Wasn't worn off, rest of face is good. What's the deal?
Thanks coin guys,
Bob

If so, then it is either rare, as a 1916, or not so rare, as a 1917.
If her breast isn't bare, then it is a later date.
The early years had the date raised so it wore off faster.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
(there is part of the strap still showing it looks like)

I'm a little embarrassed... I forgot to look up to see if there was a strap!

Ah....your eyes stayed at her toe level to look, eh?
Mine stayed within a quarter inch of the strap area

You were talking about the sandal straps... weren't you?

There are many dateless SLQ's since the dates wore off quite rapidly. Buffalo nickels had the same problem. Most are only worth melt which is about $6 these days. The dateless 1916 carries a premium since it can be identified by certain die characteristics.

I agree. This particular coin is an obvious variety 2, not variety 1, and is worth about $6 to $6.50.
