Bought Some Nine-Pocket Pages at the Card Shop Today

Every so often, I start a thread on the good old days of collecting. It's cathartic, for me at least. Yet I've done very little to re-engage with that time in collecting. Until today.
I bought ten, nine pocket pages. And I aim to rebuild the collection of my youth: no investment dreams of appreciation, no toploaders, no spending more than my allowance at the time: $2 a week plus whatever lunch money I can save. It may take awhile, but I'm not too concerned with condition and I have lots of doubles to trade.
I found a three ring binder in the basement and I put the pages in it. I pulled my Gwynn rookie, my 81T Pete Rose, and my 79T George Brett out of their toploaders and slid them home. I'm sure I had more than ninety cards in my binder when I was young, but I'm also sure that I used the front and back of each page.
So wish me luck. In a bit, I'll put a thread up on the B/S/T forum. If you see someone asking for a 79T Bob Horner or an 81D Pete Rose (both of them), you'll know who it is. I just hope someone out there needs an 89 Jumbo Sunflower Seeds Ken Griffey Jr or an '82 Kellogs Al Oliver with a slight stain on the back.

The new "old" collection sound neat, Jimmy! Yes, please post some pictures as you continue to work on it.
<< <i>Bob Horner...wow, there's a name from the past. I was at old Fulton County Stadium in 1986 when he hit 4 home runs in one game. Still have the stub somewhere in storage. I think he was the 11th to hit 4 at that point. I always liked watching him play.

I wasn't there, but I do remember watching it on TV. I was channel surfing and saw him hit his second. Didn't think anything about it until #4 went over the wall.
