OK, but that won't stop me from getting on your case will it?
Subject: Michael Jordan send-in brick for private signing
Message: Hi, do you know if MJ will sign a brick from Chicago Stadium that has previously been signed by Bobby Hull? There is no authentication of the Hull signature, but I witnessed it in person, and I can get it authenticated by JSA prior to sending it in for this signing. Thanks.
I'll post the response when they write back.

The great MJ has no idea what a brick is.

<< <i>I would love to get the SI issue signed with him and Perkins on the front cover, touting that UNC was #1 - I wonder why he won't sign SI's? >>
Does this ring a bell?
Having said that, I'm guessing a lot of people will spend the money to get their photos and basketballs signed.

It says he is not signing cards......
<< <i>I wouldn't pay LeBron $599 to sign six $100 bills. >>
Maybe someone could get LeBron to sign a box of Kleenex.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I think it's stupid if that guy is getting those prices for everything that is being shipped out and whatnot.
Edit to add: I see it's just a send in program....greedy F*in Upper Deck. I hope they go belly up.
<< <i>Honestly, those prices are an absolute joke. >>
Jordan 16x20 photos routinely sell in the $600-800 range. The price they're charging is reasonable, especially if they apply a 10% coupon. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time he's accepting send-ins for a signing, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.
On the LeBron prices, I can't imagine why anyone would want his autograph, so I guess you're right about him.

Bob, I can assume you're not a Heat fan? I concur with you 100% BTW

Let's just say that if you want to build your own team, then buy one first. This, and the NFL thing, have me convinced that players should play and not try to be quasi-owners.

700$? I'll pass.
Really only three options if you want it Upper Deck Authenticated:
1) Participate in one of the send in signings - however he won't do cards at them
2) Have a child get it for you at his Youth Flight Camp in Santa Monica (he will sign cards here), and the tuitiion is actually very reasonable at around $700 or so, especially if you can send your kid and they are a Jordan fan.
3) Attend an adult Flight Camp and pay a much higher fee (he will sign cards here as well), but you'll get to hang out and play basketball with him as well
If you don't care about the quality of the sig, and the UDA authentication, you can occasionally get him on the golf course, or every now and then in person elsewhere. Several of UDA's contract signers participate in these send in signings if you are interested including Jordan, Tiger, Lebron and others. Tiger won't sign cards either at these.

I know, god. He just won the last 2 MVP's; i'd rather crawl to work tomorrow through the city's sewer system than own his autograph.
