Coins from controversial dealers

Anybody here have any coins purchased from Thomas Noe, Martin Armstrong, Robert Dupurton, Thomas Fasano, Michael Hibbs, or Mehrdad Sadigh that they could see themselves parting with, either through trade or purchase? If so, send me a private message, or post publicly, whatever works.

I used to own a coin that Bill Noyes identified as one of the coins that Sheldon was accused of swapping into the ANA collection to replace a nicer coin. you would probably be interested in it but I sold it to Steve Ellsworth a few years back. if you ask Tom Reynolds, Ellsworth, or Chris McCawley to look they can probably find some of those "controversial coins" for you. here is the one I owned. --jerry

Just arrived last week was an interesting slabbed coin in an interesting slab, acquired with full awareness of all the details and nuances and history, a 1945-S Mercury dime graded MS-66 when it was actually an AU-58 coin, with wear and breaks in the luster on the high points of both obverse and reverse, on the obverse at the hair near the ear, on the reverse at the middle band across the torch, and also with spotting that other grading services would likely have regarded as environmental damage, causing them to refuse to grade it or to indicate the damage on holder label. I know that you, Barry, cannot possibility know what kind of slab this coin came in.

Sounds like a fabulous theme for a display or collection!

Uh, does it start with an A and end with a G?

Numismatic history. The dark side. Distinguishing light from dark. Seeing the light. Seeing. Needing aid seeing. Wearing eyeglasses. Ophthalmology vs. optometry. Decisions, decisions.

Hi, Mark. Unlike a lot of others, I still post occasionally to RCC, despite its continuing downfall, like Usenet in general. Don't know exactly why, habit I guess.
