I am stocking up on mint "Chicharito" Panini rookie stickers. Wayne Rooney has had a roller coaster of a season: first the post-World Cup scoring slump, and recently the swearing incident and suspension. But the league hattrick and the Champions League goal have put him back in favor.
I recently picked up Rooney's Futera base rookie card. (while a printing of only 5,000 card may seem big, on the world market its pretty small.)
Several of the Inter Milan players will have a great legacy - Eto'o, Zanetti and Milito to name a few. However, dollar for dollar, Manchester United cards hold the best value - Ryan Giggs and Edwin van der Sar are all-time greats. The possible of winning the treble only increases this.
The team with the most potential greatness has to be Real Madrid and Barcelona (tie). But this will only come if they win the Champions League and the Spanish League - the superstars are endless - Villa, Benzema, Kaka, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, DiMaria, Messi ........
