What is an ---80--- code on a PCGS Genuine coin??

I was looking at some eBay listings and saw this Type 1 Dollar, so I zoomed in to see what the problems were and saw an unfamiliar "code" in the cert number. After checking here it I confirmed that PCGS doesn't list an 80 so I'm wondering what's up here. Any suggestions?? The coin's problems are clear enough but is it a labeling error, new code or something else entirely? Thanks in advance.

A search in this forum, and about 15 seconds, turned up the answer
Larry, you got it right, with one of your guesses
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
thanks for the help guys, search is indeed our friend!!
That looks cleaned or scratched up.
<< <i>I guess it means generic genuine so it could be any of the new codes.

Looks like it could also just mean that it's a genuine coin that is problem free. Seems like it was used on special inserts like these 1909 VDBs which just look well circulated but are not necessarily problem coins.

The seller says in the text:
<< <i>Here is a very neat 1909-VDB US Lincoln Cent in a PCGS slab. Why it was slabbed is a dumbfounding mystery. The coin is a VF or so and has some surface porosity. It was, therefore, slabbed as genuine and not graded. >>

No wonder we can't remember what Code 80 meant... 2008? I can't remember what happened in 2010, are we really expected to remember something that happened so many years ago?

Luckily, we can come here and ask, and someone will help!
