Anybody have any experience selling autographs on sportscollectors.net?

Anybody here have any experience selling autographs on sportscollectors.net? I have about 2,000 signed cards (with more coming in about a month) that I am trying to sell. I just got my 5th positive feedback over there which means I can officially sell on their site. If somebody with experience could chime in on how I should go about it, I would appreciate it. So far, they have come to me after just posting one thread about my collection. Now, I need to be more proactive. Should I just post a thread in the Buy/Sell/Trade board over there telling them generally what I have and then tell them to send me your want lists? Should I post a thread for each individual card that is kind of tough to find? That site is really a valuable resource for autograph collectors, I just need some advise on how to best utilize it.

Post one thread in the buy/sell/trade baseball section. That's the most popular section there for b/s/t traffic. Include some scans of some of the nicer ones and a price list. You'll get some hits. The "make an offer" doesn't seem to go over real well over there.

    YMMV,

The making an offer bit - do you mean that it will just get ignored or will it draw negative responses?

People over there just want an item and a price. They're not hagglers unless the item is expensive. I think Mike's advice is sound. I don't think you'll draw too much negativity but you'll have a far easier time selling if you list with prices.

IMO, it will make you look like a lazy seller (note that I didn't call you a lazy seller, but I think that is what the board over there will think) and you will lose sales from people not wanting the perceived "hassle".

Here's a current thread on that over there:

I sell there frequently. I've been able to unload a fair amount of items. My experience is that you will almost always have someone make you a counter-offer and that a lot of people who express interest will sen you a PM and then never respond to you again. It is really hit or miss sometimes. Good luck, Tim
