Anyone Ever Attend the Hofstra Long Island Card Show?

Has anyone attended any card shows at Hofstra University on Long Island? If so, is there a large selection of unopened baseball card material to make attending worth it?

I concentrate mostly on the 1970's particularly 1973 through 1978 rack and cello packs.

Thanks for your time,

Mike

Wow Mike - hadn't thought of Hofstra in a while.

When I was stationed at Ft Hamilton, I attended the show.

I can't answer your question but it was fun thinking about the show - I remember Mantle signing there one year and I got there just after they sold out!

One year, Mr Mint was sitting all by himself and no one was paying any attention to him - I almost felt sorry for him....well maybe not.

I always found some good stuff there - Joe Esposito of B & E and David Festburg were two favorites of mine.

Good luck if ya choose to go - looking forward to a post if ya find something!

I have a few more cards coming in the mail that I will post. One is the Mets team card for my 1970 set. Glad I could bring back some fond memories.

Can you let me know if they have any dealers selling vintage 1970's rack and cello packs? It would be greatly appreciated.

I go to white plains and hofstra whenever I can. I think they are both very good shows, although I agree that WP is better. With that being said, if Hofstra is not too much of a hassle to get to, it is DEFINITELY worth going. don't know specifically what they have in terms of sealed 70's packs though. If anyone else is going to either a WP or hofstra show and wants to meet up, let me know!!
I have twelve Sports Cards videos on youtube w/ over 75,000 views in total!! Vintage cards like 1951 Mantle, 33 Goudey Ruth, T206 Cobb, etc (copy and paste link below):
