autographing a full sixe FB

What is the best writing instrument for signing a full size football? Is it a sharpie in the gray color.
I see some have thick writing. Is This a special pen and where would one get one? They are certainy not fine points.

  • I prefer the DecoColor markers to sharpie for Silver or Gold signatures. They are extremely bold and really "pop" on a darker surface, whereas I think silver sharpies usually look really dull. Here is a link, you'd probably be looking for either "fine line" or "broad line" depending how thick you want the signature. The "fine line" markers I think is what I would lean toward because if the athlete doesn't sign large enough with the broad line marker the signature could just end up being a blob.
