How did I do on this 1960 Topps Tattoos Complete Set?

I bought this 1960 Topps Tattos Complete Set last night. I bought it in order to get the Joe Cunningham and the Cardinals logo which would finish off my Cardinals team set. I already have the Stan Musial, Bill White, and the Stan Musial facsimile autograph. I plan on selling off the rest of these individually in order to get my money back.

I won it for $1195 (including juice). That means I will need to average $12.71 each to get my money back. Doable?

    Nice pick up, what does the unopened pack go for? that I think would be a cool item.

    unopened packs go from 25-45.00 or so. I have owned about 8 or so in my life. They are like packs of gum and the wrapper ring is around it.

    I am not sure. I've seen them go for $30 or more. The unopened pack is not a spectacular as it may seem. Though, I've never owned one, I hear you can look and see through the wrapper and tell which one you are getting. Therefore, the value isn't as much as it would seem. I can't imagine what that gum would taste like!

    Those are cool - Wonder why they don't have the team logos on the hats since they were made by Topps

    IMO because since they are transfers Topps wanted to keep it simple.

    Having the logo could be hard to transfer properly. Too intricate?


    At least that is my opinion.


    Shane I have no idea if you did well or not price wise.

    But you completed your set and have a bunch to sell off to possibly

    other player collectors. So in that regard I think you did ok.

    Set is being offered on Buy/Sell/Trade board. Check it out if you are interested. It is now in my possession. I only have the Mantle scanned. More scans coming tomorrow and as time permits.
