I have taken over a new hobby. Sending to athletes through the mail is a great way to get autographs. I will be posting my successes and failures this month, if I get some successes, I will continue to do it. By surfing the net, I have acquirred many home addresses of players, which I will be sending to. I have sent to four people so far :
Larry Doby - sent back price list
Gordie Howe - sent back a picture of him and his wife advertising his book, both signed it
Lou Pinniela - signed trading card and three 3x5 file cards
Red Auerbach - bad address
Here is my April statistics :
Main Goal: Baseball Hall of Famers April 2002
Sent out to :
George Kell
Monte Irvin
Carlton Fisk
Rollie Fingers
Bobby Doerr
Hank Aaron
Joe Morgan
Sparky Anderson
Tommy John
Robin Yount
Nolan Ryan
Johnny Bench
Ernie Banks
Stan Musial
Ralph Kiner
Phil Neikro
Kirby Puckett
Phil Rizzuto
Enos Slaughter
Dave Winfield
Ernie Banks
I will send out tomorrow to them and give you updates on who signs and declines. Does anyone else do this?
