Pete Rose RC GAI 9

Looking for opinions on whether the left edge looks trimmed on this Rose RC. It's an older GAI holder for what it's worth. Would like to hear your thoughts on whether you feel this is trimmed vs. untrimmed. Nobody wants a circumcised Rose. There's no way PSA would ever cross this IMHO, but is it worth a crack out? And, no, I haven't purchased it (yet).

The left border does look to get skinnier towards the bottom, and the right border is constant.

It sold Dan. Did you purchase? I would have called the guy as he listed his phone number to understand it's heritage. My immediate thought was it's in the GAI holder for a reason.

His title was misleading. It SHOULD have read GAI 9 - PSA 7 - BVG 7.5

It sold back in early Feb and then was relisted, ending last night without a bid. If it isn't trimmed, it's a nice looking GAI 9 even by GAI standards. But I'll probably pass because I don't wanna spend that kind of dough running the significant risk it's trimmed if I cracked and subbed.

Leave it in the case and crossover. If it doesn't cross, return for refund. There is a huge thread on Net 54 about that very thing...

seriously doubt PSA would cross any high dollar card submitted in a GAI holder. The seller is selling a GAI 9, so why would you expect a refund if it didn't cross? seller doesn't say anything about guaranteeing a cross over to a grading company of your choice.

That card is out of my league so I don't know the precise value, but in any event there's no way I would purchase that card at basically almost any reasonable price in a GAI holder.

It's PSA or nothing on a card like that...that's my viewpoint...and to me...it's a very wise viewpoint when dealing with expensive cards such as that when the time comes when I do want to buy a high grade Rose rookie card,

Yes...my reply is sarcastic. The thread over on Net 54 is not.
