How can people under 18 be on eBay????

Just curious? I thought you had to be 18 or old with a credit card...but that was a while ago.

i think that rule is pretty stupid. im 14 with 6 positives and no negatives. i dont have any problems, and my dad gave me the info i need. actually, i think as long as your parents get the account for you, its ok for the kids to use it.

You do have to have a valid credit card. Ebay will check credit cards for multiple names. I have a couple names, But ebay will delete your name if you have a series of non payments and user names using the same credit card.

weasel510, you seem like a trust worthy person from reading your posts. I believe some of the youger users do not act professinoally when selling or even buying, and just cause more trouble then they are worth. I was just wondering if they changed their rules, sounds like it's the same though.

I have no problem with the younger guys on ebay...at least if they screw me, I have some measure of prtection.

It's the younger TRADERS that I hate...not all of them of course, some are good friends of mine...but just as many are idiots.

Well, a kid saved me some cash on Ebay. I bidded $15.12 on a 01 Fleer Genuine Pokey Reese Final Cut Patch card and was outbidded. 2 weeks later, I was contacted by the seller who said my high bid was $15.12 and that he would sell the card to me for $12 dlvd including insurance. I got his address and sent payment. I asked did the winning bidder back out, and this was his response:

"He claims his son bid on it without him knowing about it??????"

... Oh well, save me some money $3.12 + $2.50 s/h + $1.10 insurance

well on my dad's computer he has AOL & u need a credit card to sign up so they don't ask for a card #

yeah
if you can use a non-free email, not like yahoo, or hotmail, etc... you can sign up without a credit card, lie about your age
thats what I did
I used my server-people email I get, which is TDS.net
