Set Registry Offline

Hi everyone,

The Set Registry is temporarily offline right now. We are experiencing technical problems and will soon have them resolved. We'll post a notice when the registry is back online. Thanks for your patience.

BJ, I'm experiencing some difficulty breathing. It's not nice to play games like this. Please hurry.
  • LOL Gemmint!
We have all the programmers huddled over the terminal with their fingers flying on the keyboard as we speak...so it shouldn't be too long now.

Until then, may I suggest breathing in to a paper bag until it's back up?
We wouldn't want to have you pass out on us now would we?

I'm way ahead of you Carol. Bag is in hand.

Thanks for stopping by. You should come by more often. We can be funny like the Open Forum people. Really, try us out.

Ahhhhhh. Vital signs are returning to normal. I hope this is not just temporary.
  • I'll have to think about that one for awhile.
I've been sticking to monitoring the open forum of late..are you sure you want multiple moderators over here! image

Carol, whatever you think is best. If you prefer, we'll continue to export our humor to the Open Forum image.

Carol, if you are monitoring the open forum, PLEASE feel free to clean it up as you see fit. I think we all would appreciate it. Thanks!
  • rw2win:

That's the place for everyone to go and let their weirdness show.
Think how boring it would be with out the Moon Landing Conspiracy or Favorite (fill in the blank) threads!

Although the controversy about cheat posts is getting pretty heated up!

Sorry Carol, I thought the open forum you were refering to was the "community message board". image

Gee, sorry everyone. I was uploading my collections onto the Regisitry a few hours ago and I guess the sheer volume and magnitude of those sets overwhelmed the Server. image
  • No censorship in the open forum please!

Being a member of the lunatic fringe minority, we have to have a place where we can only injure each other and not the general population of the board. It's as though one is putting all the rotten eggs in one basket.

I know that Carol is busy today with the registry crash, otherwise she would have responded to the "Elvis lives" topic.

    z,

You're getting me dizzy. Why do you keep changing your icon? The Homer was cool!

    aconte
  • Is that Ginger "Slim Jim" Baker on drums?
Please visit my eBay auctions at gemint
  • The Homer was replicated by zardUH51. It appears that I am the latest victim of the identity replicator. I guess that it was my turn

I liked the Homer as well, but you have to admit the the "Drumming Weiner" is kinda cool!image

Zardoz is correct. It is a place for the lunitics to hang out and bug only each other. That being said, if you ever see anything way out of line on any forum, please do not hesitate to contact me. I'll wave the magic wand and move it, remove it..Just ask Spooly...he gets so mad when I move one of his posts..it's really kind of cute.

I looked at it earlier...hmmm, I guess I had better go on back there to see what trouble you've stirred up again!

  • Zardoz,

All that you need now is the dancing Pepsi and Rasinets!

All of us on the boards can barely handle 1 ZARDOZ, let alone another. But isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery? image...jay

Dude, I should have known you were behind that mess. What did I tell ya about mixing your '72 Topps and '70 Kellogg's? It's like mixing matter and anti matter image.
  • Should have guessed that Dude was behind it image

We have all the programmers huddled over the terminal with their fingers flying on the keyboard as we speak...so it shouldn't be too long now.

I have a feeling that if I relax and stop checking the registry every 5 minutes, the problem might get solved. image

    Carlos
  • LOL CARKIM.

I'll get John to give us the technical version shortly.
    I know I said soon.
Unfortunately, I think the translation between computer speak and normal person speak must have gone haywire.

  • I'm beginning to feel like I need my Set Registry fix.....it's gettin bad now......maybe if I sit here and cry like a kid that will help.....anybody got a tissue.

I entered some '71 Topps Basketball and '70 and '72 Kellogg's baseball today. That is a bad combination!

  • I don't think any of them are leaving until the problem is resolved.
I'd ask "how much longer" again but I'm afraid they'll throw something heavy at me. I sit with my back to them...OUCH... image ( rubbing big knot on the back of my head) either they are reading my mind or reading over my shoulder )

I'm staying up with the Registry Gang until this problem gets fixed if it takes all night...

  • UPDATE:

The system is rebuilding it's database and that is what is causing the delay.
Unfortunately it is time consuming. Our people finished their part earlier in the day and now they are monitoring the system's progress on the rebuild.

Thanks for you patience on this.

    Carol

  • Gemmint go to bed.
I would hate for you to be tired and cranky in the morning!
