I remember him. I have his card in my Mets collection. That's too bad he won't be at his HS's HOF ceremony. At least he knew he was going to be honored. I hate when they decide to honor someone right after they die. Not good enough before, but now that you are gone we'd like to honor you.

    THIS WAS FUNNY

Stengel, the legendary manager of the Mets, said, "This is Greg Goossen. He's 19 years old, and in 10 years he's got a chance to be 29."

Another guy I know from Ball Four.

I think of him every time I see a building cornerstone that reads something like "Erected 1935"

RIP Mr. Goosen. I sent 2 cards to him on 01/11/10 and TEN days later he returned them ... BOTH signed. As someone already mentioned, it's nice to hear that he knew he was going to be honored ... too bad he didn't make it to see the induction.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
