Who owns the most complete Topps sets?

I'd lay big money down that there are a few collectors with that run of sets. The first one I checked for was bobsbbcards PSA sets listing. He comes mighty close!

Complete Redback panel set, 12 away from 1-311 for the '52 set and 50 away from '53 complete. I have '54 thru present varying conditions. Mostly 1 of each card with very few doubles until '74,'75,76 when I was buying handfuls of packs back in the day. Doug

I have 1959 through 1985 and most of them I have 2 or more of.

I'm short a couple of dozen cards total for 1933-2010 for all of the mainsteam sets- Goudey,Delong, Playball, Topps, Bowman, etc
Pretty safe bet there are a few dozen here at least that have all the Topps sets, at least the main ones (not including stuff like Dice Game, '70 Cloth, etc)

I'm surprised a lot of you guys stopped collecting at 1980 or '85. Seems like it would be so easy to just pick up the more recent sets for the sake of completing the run.

Working on: '76 (with the traded series), '71, '70, '56.

Still need 55 1967 high #'s but for Topps cards:

baseball 1966 thru 1989 (including at least one wax pack for each year too, also have cellos for 1967 thru 1979 and raks for 1968 thru 1979)

Football 1968 thru 1974 (including at least one wax pack and one cello pack for each year, still need 2 more raks, 69 and 70)

Basketball 1969 thru 1981 (including at least one wax pack for each year too)

Its been a while since I have seen Bob post here. His collection is nothing short of spectacular.

59-early 90s, missing 1962. I sold my 55, 56, 58, and 62 sets many years ago. Yes, I do regret it. I've never had a 57.

I'm not a set guy, I've learned that over the years. I've got several but there's more fun for me to finding cool cards in premium condition. Struggled with this for a long time but since I came to the realization that card ADD is counterproductive to building sets, I've had a lot more fun collecting.

For example, the last few weeks I merged two 75 sets. Most people find this fun, and I can see why. For me it's an absolute beating, I have to do it 100 cards at a time because I can't stay with it any longer than that.

I do both. I'm going to Louisville in a few days for the Spring Nationals. I'll play for 10 days.
