I didn't pull any of the major RCs, but I did manage to pull a couple HOF RCs and RCs of a couple of star players. None of my '85s were of players worth scanning, but the cards themselves were fantastic.

Daddy - nice Reed. Coulda been a legend like Rice had those damn teams just won 50% of the super bowls they were in.

Nothing scan worthy for me, but the cards were all nice. No problems with OC, dinged corners etc.

Anybody get the Montana RC yet?

Pulled a nice '89 Sanders and Thomas and surprisingly a decent '84 Marino considering that most of the '84s had edge damage in all three of my packs!

NICE Montana Joel! For a novice, you're doing well w/ the group rips!

    ...are you 'hooked' yet? image

  • Not sure how/why a blank post showed up yesterday, but I hope mine come today. Delay caused on my part as my Paypal was set to send it as a gift as that was the last way I'd sent money to someone but I conveniently forgot my address. Still if it was shipped Tuesday it should be in Memphis by last night. Should've used FedEx...

    Nice rips so far
  • The three cards I had in mind when getting in on this lot were the 81 Montana 86 Rice and the 89 Sanders. Two out of three are already posted. Congrats on those ! Am hoping my packs came from the other end of the box. Opening now ! (slowly to have fun with it)
  • ugh. Good luck to the rest who got in on this. There is a Mark Gastineau card which the republican in mass may like to gaze personally. Other then that a Simms and Taylor possibility from the 86 set, and an 84 Marino Instant Replay stained card.

  • Got mine today. Absolutely horrible. All 5. I could have bought 5 packs of 1990 Topps baseball and done better.

  • you know they are doing more Beavis and Buttheads this summer... so we got that going for us !

    I know! Cautiously optimistic...

My best pulls were honestly a Warren Moon sticker from 85 and a Payton 1000 yd club from 86. I collect Saints and Ole Miss guys so I'm thinking my 81 Paul Hofer might be an U-P-G-R-A-Y-E-D-D from what's sitting in my binder now.

I am glad that I picked up those last 2 lots, I did much better with them than my first 2. I pulled a lot of HOFers, but these were the best of the lot:

Hey Bunker, that's a nice pull on the Elway! I was checking it out closer, and discovered it has a pretty severe tilt on the top and bottom. That may get rejected by PSA if you sub it. Take a closer look at it.

    Jeff-

I have needed that card for my raw set for awhile now so I won't be sending it in, but you are right it does look "Tilted" after closer inspection.

I just returned home from travel and was able to open my packs. Here's a few of the stars I got. Got the Elway and Green in the same pack and also the Irvin and Aikman in the same pack.
