Happy weekend everyone!

First up is a 1790's Spence's D&H 1110 MS63 BN NGC

This one is a Farthing, about the size of a cent, maybe nickel. It is rated as Scarce
Background history:

Serpent Pandora's Breeches, 1792, designed by Thomas Spence, London. It depicts Priestley as a serpent
below a burning pair of straw-filled pants, labeled "Pandora's Breeches."

If the plot to burn down Parliament had succeeded, the token implies that all hell would have broken loose, just as in the myth of Pandora's box.

"End of Pain"refers to Thomas Payne

The second one is D&H 829b and this is rated RRR which amounts to 10 or less known on the rarity scale.

End of Pain. A man hanging, rev. PANDORAS BREECHES, edge BERSHAM BRADLEY WILLEY SNEDSHILL DH 829b.
Reverse die break. Exceedingly rare with this edge.

This one is a Halpenny, which is larger than the first and about the size of a half dollar.

Interesting footnote on the second one. I was told by a good friend of mine that knows Conders very well that
would explain the extremely weak strike

Probably not a reasonable line of thinking here but this particular example with the RRR edge,
might have been struck on a blank from one of John Wilikonson's trade tokens (begining at Warw 332.)
And the flan that was used for this token might have been laying around or might have passed through
a few hand before it was finally struck as an 829b.
