grading a wax pack

I have never sent a wax pack into PSA before for grading. I recently purchased a 1930's Dick Tracy wax pack and it certainly appears it has been ripped open and glued shut. That set does not have any holy grail cards, so it is no big deal which card is in there. My question is, if I send it in to PSA and they deem it to have been resealed, will they slab it or not? If they do, what will the grade it? Looking forward to hearing from the wax pack experts, and thanks for the education in advance.

They will not slab a pack that has been resealed or tampered with. John

  • Yep, jmoran19 is correct, pack with be shipped back to you and you'll be out the grading fees.

You will get the 'ole "Resealed" sticker and, as was already said, the pack sent back the way you sent it to them. Only difference is you are out the $$$.

  • Thanks guys, that is what I was afraid of. I still like it to go with my set, but really wanted to be able to put it in a slab.
