No mention of the 1933 $20 Saint in the 10 most valuable??
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. I think the 1870-S $3.00 gold (unique) should be valued way higher, as well as the 1825/4 $5.00 gold. Both of those coins make 1804 dollars look rather common by comparison, and the 1870-S $3.00 also has the cool story to go along with it. I also think the lone (in private hands) 1822 $5.00 gold should be valued higher.

I looked all the lists over and not a single coin is in my personal collection. image

    Fantastic group of coins.

I think it makes sense. Although it's the highest-selling coin, there's no way its $7.59 million price tag will hold up if the available population jumps from 1 to 11. Frankly, the knowledge that they're around, even if not for sale, may well depress the price if buyers speculate over whether the 10 coins will be made legal to own at some point in the future.

It would still be a million dollar coin even if all 11 were available for sale. It wasn't included because, at this point in time, it can't legally be traded.

it's all about demand and if you truly believe those coins are worth more money than what's listed you should pony up and make offers to the current owners.image

Putting numbers on this stuff is a total crapshoot.

Of course, that's what they said about grading image

Seriously, if everyone already agrees on what something is worth, then why hold an auction?

Happily, I do still own two on the list... far fewer than I used to, though!

That's quite a list! Lots of gold.

I'm so far removed from any of it I simply can't imagine what it would be like to own one.

$528.6 mill is no problem for about 1,000 people in this world, maybe more. image
