Slightly Off Center Nickel

bronzematbronzemat Posts: 2,666 ✭✭✭✭✭
I got this in my change a few weeks back and noticed it was very slightly off center. Was wondering if I should keep it or dump it back in circulation? Im not a error collector.

The reverse is normal and of course the condition of the coin isnt the best.

Taken via my iphone, best I could do.

    It's a minor, and fairly common,
    mis-aligned obverse die.

    No premium per se, but you might
    as well keep it in your collection;
    it is an interesting conversation piece.

    Label it "Minor Mis-Aligned Obv. Die"

    imo

    neat to look at.

    no premium since it's "not wrong enough."

    I didnt think it was anything special. I'll just keep it in my piggy bank of minor error coins, lol.
  • Not major but still pretty neat.
