The Passing of Football Hall of Famer Ollie Matson

I just read the news that 1972 Football Hall of Fame Running Back Ollie Matson has died. Mr. Matson did come back often for Hall of Fame weekend in the last 25 years or so that I have been collecting autographs. I did get him in person a couple of different times, and he was always nice to me, and to the other autograph "hounds" who would be after him. I know he has been in poor health for a while now. May GOD Bless your soul Mr. Matson. It was an honor to have met you.

Actually, I can't think of a single Ollie Matson card that wasn't gorgeous. He was one of the great backs and a great Olympic champion. And also a great guy.
