ICCS rates? Website?

I have an older form (from Aug 2009) where the standard submission rate per coin is $11 CDN. Anyone know if that has changed?

ICCS still doesn't seem to have a web presence, and calling them is no good - they never answer! Thanks for any help with this.

Let's see if I understand this correctly.

    No web presence.

    They never answer the phone.

Remind me again why you would even care what their submission rate is?

Not to mention their holders are just regular ol' safety flips, pretty much.

That being said, their reputation in terms of grading is decent, from what I've heard, anyway.

ICCS is the most respected of the Canadian grading companies. They are a two or three person operation catering mostly to dealers at the major shows. It's my understanding that the founder is now retired and the operation is run by his son. They have become a target of many concerns lately over on the CCRS site. The use soft holders for all coins.

The lack of a website and poor customer (average collector) service has led many to use CCCS, owned and operated by Louis Chevrier who also owns Lower Canada Auctions. The pricing is similar to the US companies and CCCs uses hard slabs for problem free coins and soft holders for problem coins. They are also very conservative in my experience.

They are definitely #1 for Canadian coins. Though as was mentioned, their holders are sub par. From what I know, they have no web presence and don't seek out new submissions because they already get as many (or more) than they can keep up with.

IMO they should have expanded their organization long ago, but I'm not in charge. I have a couple CCCS graded coins and have been pleased with what I've seen. I could see them taking a much larger share of the Canadian coin grading market in the near future. Hopefully that will get ICCS' arse in gear to get with the times. FWIW I've never submitted a coin to ICCS, not that I'd even know how or where to send the coin to them...

ICCS is #1 for Canadian coins and the owner Brian Cornwell is still working.

They always answer their phone. Best to call at 8am.

Business hours are 8am to 2pm weekdays. Closed weekends.

Closed Monday Feb 21 for a Holiday.

I'm there once every 2 weeks so I should know.
