1. Calculate 35% silver value :
(32.66 × .0321507466 × 5.00 × .35) = $1.8375759219
$1.8375 is the rounded silver value for the 1942-1945 silver nickel on February 18, 2011. This is usually the value used by coin dealers when selling these coins at melt value. However, the total melt value is continued below.
2. Calculate 56% copper value :
(4.4731 × .00220462262 × 5.00 × .56) = $0.0276117
3. Calculate 9% manganese value :
(3560.00 × (1.0 × 10-6) × 5.00 × .09) = $.001602
4. Add the three together :
$1.8375759219 + $0.0276117 + $.001602 = $1.8667896219
$1.8667896219 is the total melt value for the 1942-1945 silver nickel on February 18, 2011.

Thanks Geo. It would have taken me till the end of time to calculate all of that!!
Copper
.56 x 5 / 453 x $4.43 = 2.7¢
It's easier than looking up conversion factors if you just do the ratios.
