Notice of suspension of a PNG dealer

When such suspensions occur, is there notice given to the public( ie collectors and non-PNG dealers) of the suspension, and reason therefore?
Where would one go to determine such information?

The first one listed is Robert L. Higgins of Certified Assets Management - is he with a new company?

I wondered the same thing when I read that comment. As far as I know, Robert L. Higgins is the OWNER of Certified Assets Management. Not sure why he would no longer be working for his own company.

No.
Also I'll add that PNG membership pertains to the individual person and not a company. If a member changes employer or forms a new company their PNG membership stays with them and not with their previous company.

<< <i>I did not know Rockwall had a coin dealer, PNG or otherwise. I just Googled Polaris and got a defunct web site and a post office box address. The Dallas area has lots of conceptual numismatists, people who deal in rare coins but only outside of actual existence. >>
Perhaps so, but Brandon Kelley of Polaris Coins which actually existed) is now with a different company (that actually exists).

True, Polaris was a different company. However, I decided not to renew my PNG membership for various reasons.

So you didn't resign, you just didn't renew?

And, do you have a physical location? For DFW's size, there aren't a lot of shops around. There are none in Rockwall to my knowledge, even though there is surely a market here.
Resigning from PNG could be a moral high ground move on the part of the dealer. There's no way to generalize what a resignation means. For lack of evidence, I'd lean toward the high ground motive in each case. When I asked a PNG dealer friend of mine back in 1988 why one of the biggest crooks of the 1970's and 1980's was in the PNG he told me it was because it was easier to monitor them from the inside, than on the outside. That dealer is still a member today....and considered one of the hobby "luminaries."

Sure, several reasons actually. I don't want to upset anybody from the PNG or any current members. I was asked a question and this is my truthful answer.
1. For the five or so years I was a member, really the only thing that benefited me was 5 free submissions to NGC and having the PNG logo on the website.
2. The PNG day at shows for me were a waste of time and money. A handful of dealers in a sparce orchard of empty booths that I would see and do business with the next day for no extra fees, was not worth to me what they charged for a table.
3. Their stance on doctoring did not reflect my own views.
I have to say that the PNG is a great organization, but for me, it just wasn't worth paying $1,000 a year to display a logo and having the privledge of being allowed to set-up one day early at a show with only a few other dealers there for half the cost of what my regular table costs for the entire show. They are entitled to operate however they want and do some real good things for the hobby. I have no problem with them. I simply wasn't benefiting from being in the PNG.
This is the way you hurt these guys; one guy at a time. If we do the same to the Dr's and boycott them, they will also hurt. Clearly PCGS has won the PR war.
Good for you Brandon.
